Wave

WAVE is a free web accessibility evaluation tool provided by WebAIM. It is used to aid humans in the web accessibility evaluation process. Rather than providing a complex technical report, WAVE shows the original web page with embedded icons and indicators that reveal the accessibility information within your page.

There is also Firefox toolbar available.

WCAG 2.0 is released!

WCA … what?

For you simple folk, that’s the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.

It’s the culmination of 9.5 years worth of work and I think this tweet by caledoniaman sums up the level of anticipation:

WCAG 2.0 and a new Guns ‘n’ Roses album in the same year. What’s the world coming to.

Not sure how well this is going to go down, we’ll have to wait and see.

JavaScript and screen readers
